Geocache Description:

In South Mountain Park. Pretty easy walk and level terain

Gila Monster Rock (not a new dance) is located near the Desert Classic Trail in South Mountain Park. This is the second in a series of Rock (Formation) caches. The first being Dessert Nessie.

It’s name comes from a large rock formation that looks like a Gila Monster when coming south on the trail. He is guarding the cache, but don’t be alarmed. He is very slow. Hasn’t moved in years.

Look for an Altoids can. When you find it, please remove and replace carefully. Hope you enjoy the cache.
