Welcome to Cache 1 in the ALL ON A LINE series - the 2nd of 5 series following one another along the old railway line.Eleven caches have been hidden along the path/cycle track between Skellingthorpe and Harby which should make a great walk or ride through the countryside. The track is hard surfaced throughout and is in the main flat and also suitable for push or wheel chairs.
The first 10 caches are small and contain only a log roll and a number which should be noted in order to place it as described in the co ordinates for cache 11.(See ALL ON A LINE CACHE 11 for details of how to do this).
Caches can be found in any order but all the first ten will have to be found to ascertain the co ordinates for Cache 11
The whole series is meant to provide a bit of a challenge and while some caches are straightforward others may need more searching or unravelling of the hints to find them. Please check the difficulty levels of each cache to get some idea of what to expect. For Cache 11 the bonus this level has been set to take into account having to find 10 caches first.
Please provide your own pencil.pen for the logs and making a note of the numbers.
Suggested parking is at Skellingthorpe Community Centre or in the village of Harby. The length of the trail is approx 2 1/2 miles plus the bonus.
For refreshments both Skellingthorpe and Harby have pubs and shops. There is farm ice cream and play area in Skellingthorpe while the village of Doddington close by has a tea room near the Hall.
A NOTE TO WHEELCHAIR USERS.A PAVED PATHWAY GOES TO WITHIN YARDS OF EACH CASH IN THE SERIES ALTHOUGH HELP MAY BE REQUIRED TO RETRIEVE EACH CACHE.
Good luck and above all enjoy your day.
