Buckwyns 3 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Kitty!!: This series/location means a lot to me as I have happy memories of riding my beautiful Arab Mare around the paths. However, were I to set the series today I would do it very differently. I intended to revise it but cannot do so until at least after the Essex Mega! Caching has moved on and its now time to put the current series to rest. Thank you to all who have taken the time to find it.

Geocache Description:

This is the third cache in the Buckwyns series of caches which form a short circular walk. It does not contain any bonus coordinates.

From Buckwyns 2 go over the style and follow the official footpath across the field and through the livery yard. It is an official footpath but if you attempt to do this at night you are likely to arouse suspicion!

The cache is in a very exposed location. STEALTH is required. Suggest you use the tying shoe laces trick - though this could be a problem if you are in wellies!! The original cache container had to be replaced with a 25mm film pot due to muggling!!

You can take dogs but they must be on leads for this stretch. Please note that there are usually horses and ponies in the fields between No 2 and this cache. If you do not feel comfortable with horses you can access the cache by going from cache No 2 to No 4 through the wood and then a short 'there and back' down the concrete road to No 3.

We do not recommend a drive by for this cache - it is too exposed and there is nowhere to park.
