Regretfully, I must archive this cache as requested by the Ottawa County Parks Department. This area is slated for updates and renovation over the next few years, and along with various other reasons, the Department has closed this park to physical Geocaches. It may be possible that at some point in the future the area may be opened back up, but in the meantime, I must ask that you retrieve your cache to prevent geo-litter. The area is still open for earthcaches should you decide to try creating one.
Very recently the Ottawa County Parks Department has revised their policies regarding geocaching and are no longer requiring permits! (I'll be adding details to my -Tiki- profile page in the next couple weeks) However, there are a handful of park spaces that for environmental, development, and various other reasons, are not allowing new caches to be placed. In general, the Parks Department strongly supports geocaching, and the new policies are better overall. It's unfortunate that county wide, this cache is one of the handful of hides cannot stay.
