We got this great story from eng78ine and we got permission to share (We blanked out words that would give the cache away or could be deemed as too commercial):
"Hi. My husband and I are hobby geocachers and did several geocaches on Sunday including Willow is Finest. I secretly knew that my husband wanted to do several in Macedonia because he is a police officer for the city and he wanted to know where the geocaches were in case someone reported suspicious circumstances he would know what was going on. Well, today while he was working he walked into dispatch to hear the dispatcher on the phone saying "....so you say you have seen several groups of people doing something suspicious _____ the ________ in the last half hour?" My husband asked where this was located and she said the parking lot by the ______. Doug asked for the phone and the person reporting was a truck driver who was sitting in the parking lot. Doug explained what was going on and the truck driver was o.k.
Doug and I got a kick out of this. We have heard news stories about bomb squads being called out due to these "suspicious circumstances" and were glad that we were able to detour this situation. But now his co-workers are aware of Geocaching and know for the future that there are not "terrorists" plotting to blow up the _______ in the parking lot of the old ____."
So, while you're at this cache, raise your GPS to Officer Doug Slanina, as he keeps cachers and muggles alike safe in the Macedonia area (just do it stealthily).
