Geocache Description:

Meet and Greet and Picnic at Salem Lake

Come on down to Salem Lake. Spend a day with the friends you know and the friends you'll meet.

Salem Lake Park is well populated with caches. I'm sure that if we can figure out how to squeeze a few more in, they'll pop up between now and this event.

Geocaching while hiking, biking, fishing and canoeing are among the activities available. Swimming is not allowed at this park but Reynolds Recreation Center is just up the road and has a pool in case the weather turns hot.

The shelter adjoins a fenced in playground perfect for families to corral those young 'uns while chatting with friends.

Among the many caches that reside here are several that SnoopinAround placed to be accessed by canoe. Handily enough, canoes are available for a small rental fee.

We have the shelter all day starting at 10am. Lets do something differant instead of grilling. Let's plan on eating a taco dinner as a pot luck around 4pm.

I'll track a sign up sheet for items to bring. You can sign up to bring a crock pot of taco meat, tortillas, some taco fixings, tortilla chips, cheese, paper products, drinks or snacks to munch on during the day.
