Geocache Description:

This is only a short walk but from has lots of steps and as with most woodlands, can be slippy if muddy. Long trousers are recommended as there are some nettles by the final cache.

There is plenty of parking in nearby streets. Start at the co-ordinates (through a silver metal gate, next to the doctors surgery) and follow the right path.

Lots of tree coverage so coordinates are as accurate as possible, however the caches can be found purely with the clues.

This is a four part multi cache. 3 micros, each containing a clue and co-ordinates to the next one, leading to the final one which is a small plastic container. Large enough to take coins and Travel Bugs. It contains log book, pencil and a VK 1K Challenge TB & Team Firesafe #29 Geocoin.

This is the other Nightingale Valley! Serving Brislington and St Anne’s, it really is a hidden oasis. It is one of our loveliest natural resources and a great place to explore. The valley is a haven for nature and wildlife, with various types of birds, small animals, wild flowers and trees. Apparently it was once the haunt of otters and nightingales, and there have been reports of jays, sparrow hawks, voles, moles and kingfishers in the last few years. The British Trust for Conservation Volunteers and Friends of Nightingale Valley have done lots of work recently clearing the stream, spring & pond, putting up benches & a table etc. There is an old London Plane tree here that has a special feature! This was done by the volunteers recently to stop arson attacks on it!
