A Backbone Trail Cache. This is on an ugly section of the Backbone Trail. The trail is very steep in places and there is lots of poison oak along it. The location of the cache is in an area that is almost free of poison oak. It is 18 feet south of the trail.
If you are not hiking the Backbone Trail and are only interested in this cache, the shortest hike to it would be: park at N34 05.503 W118 36.199 on Topanga School Road, hike across the vacant lot then along the fence, etc.
