Die Radiumquelle

Die Radiumquelle befindet sich in der Nähe des Thierbergs zwischen Tannenbergsthal und Hammerbrücke inmitten des Hochwaldes. Die Quelle selbst ist überdacht und bietet mit einigen Bänken und Tischen in unmittelbarer Nähen einen schönen Platz zum Rasten und Ausruhen. Das Wasser der Quelle ist leicht Radium- bzw. Radonhaltig und kann sicherlich als erfrischendes und kühles Nass auch getrunken werden (ohne Garantie). Im näheren Umkreis gibt weitere Radiumquellen, z.B. an der Mündung der Großen Pyra in die Zwickauer Mulde bei Rautenkranz oder in Bad Brambach, wo die stärkste Radiumquelle der Welt zu finden ist (lt. Eigenwerbung).
Der Cache befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe der Quelle. Da der GPS-Empfang durch die hohen Bäume erschwert wird, solltet Ihr den Hint/Spoiler zu Rate ziehen.
Geparkt werden kann bei N 50° 26.255, E12° 26.306...

The radium spring is located below "Thierberg" hill and between the villages of Tannenbergsthal and Hammerbrücke. The spring is roofed and offers benches as well as tables for having a picnic there. The water contains radium and/or radon but is drinkable (but there wont be a guarantee for that information). Other radium springs can be found in the surrounding area such as one at the mouth of the "Große Pyra" river near the village of Rautenkranz. Another one is located in Bad Brambach which is supposed to be the radium spring with the highest discharge in the world.
The cache is located close to the spring itself. GPS reception is difficult in the area due to high trees, therefore sneak a peek at the hint/spoiler.
You can leave your car at N 50° 26.255, E12° 26.306...
