A quick cache and dash. This cache has been re-sited, visitors to the previous Dragoncacher 2 can log again.
Somerset is the land of dragons. We even have one as our crest (no, it’s not a wyvern it’s a dragon!) This is the second in a series of caches celebrating some of the famous (and not so famous) dragons of Somerset.
Legend has it that on Castleman's Hill a dragon resided. Not much is known about the dragon and not even who killed it. But St.George, St.Michael and St.Margaret are all shown killing dragons in the 15th century 'dragon window' in Trull parish church a few miles away. Maybe one of them carried out the deed.
Recommended parking, room for several cars is to be found within yards of the cache just off the A38. From here you will need to join the public footpath that leads up to Castleman’s Hill, not the farm track. When replacing the cache, please cover over well.
Please respect the dragon's cache by only caching in metallic and shiny objects. Cache in tacky plastic and feel the dragon's wrath!
Don’t forget to record the clue in the logbook, which will help you find the final bonus cache.
