Geocache Description:


In 1838 the lifeboat station was established in Selsey
.A new slipway was built in 1920,the lifeboat was hauled on a trolley for 25 meters out to sea.
A new boathouse was constructed in1925.
In1960 a new slipway with a gradient of 1.5 plus a new station was constructed.
In 1968 an inshore lifeboat station was established with a D class lifeboat.
