Geocache Description:

A quick and simple small cache hidden near the nature reserve in the Historic Quarter of the old Royal Aircraft Factory within a 10 minute walk of the Farnborough Town Centre. Parking is available nearby. GPS co-ordinates are for the cache itself.

Easily accessible by all, including children and strollers and dog walkers.

An easy small cache in the Farnborough Historic Quarter, within walking distance of the town centre.

THE AREA:
This cache is hidden within the Historic Quarter of the old Royal Aircraft Factory (before it become known as the Royal Aircraft Establishment). From the cache area you can see the wind tunnels (which tested Concorde) as well as the site of the original balloon sheds and the homes built by German World War 1 Prisoners of War. You might also see a family of deer, and you'll likely see plenty of squirrels and birds.

CACHE DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION:
The cache itself is approximately five inches long and two inches tall. It is a small airtight plastic container and I have wrapped it in red insulating tape for added protection and to make it a little easier to see. However, the cache is well hidden but shouldn't pose a problem for any seasoned or determined Geocacher!

The GPS co-ordinates are for the cache.

CACHE INVENTORY:
1. Log book and pencil
2. Local history information & aerial photographs
3. A Silver star [please swap]
4. A kinder egg toy [please swap]

PARKING:
You can drive your car fairly close to the cache.

ACCESSIBILITY:
The cache is accessible by all, including children, strollers & dog walkers. It is accessible on foot from Farnborough Town Centre (a 10 minute walk), from the Hub of the Business Park (a 10 minute walk) and from the new Village Hotel (a 5-10 minute walk).

TOILETS/DRINKS/FACILITIES:
Use the Village Hotel. It has a Starbucks, A pub and a restaurant and an outdoor area.
