I have been caching for almost a
year and I thought it was about time for my first hide. In this
case I decided to go with a puzzle cache.
The
Dedication:
I am dedicating this to my Uncle Joe. Uncle Joe has
recently retired form the trucking industry. I was discussing
geocaching with him and he was fascinated. He wished he had known
about it when he was driving his eighteen-wheeler around the
country.
This is my uncle at a rest stop in
North Dakota. At the time this picture was take, he was working his
last cross country delivery.
In this second picture you can see
my Uncle navigating before he learned about GPS
technology.
The last picture shows the company
my Uncle spent most of his career with, Four Trucks and a Guy. Four
Trucks and a Guy was established seventeen years ago by Guy
Lebowski. My uncle clocked most of his miles with this
organization. When Joe started with Guy (left edge of
picture), he had two trucks and a part time driver. By the
time my Uncle left; Guy owned four eighteen wheelers and had
three dedicated drivers on the clock.

The
Puzzle:
The above coordinates are close but not quite
right. To get the correct coordinates you will need to modify
the given coordinates according to the following
instructions.
NORTH: 41°
27.508
The key to transforming the last three digits of
the North coordinate (508) can be found in this
configuration:
WEST: 081°
57.899
The West coordinate is transformed by changing the
last three digits (899) in this manner:
The
Notes:
The cache is available all year but the
terrain could be much more difficult if there is a lot of
snow. Also, there can be mud in the immediate area.
Mostly, muggles are not a problem except around
dinner time
Night caching is an option.
