Geocache Description:

A series inspired by “B de Barcelona”.

On a trip to Barcelona in Spring 2009, JimChristiansen, Mark&Daisy and I had a find (and a DNF!) in a series called the B de Barcelona. That series was designed to look like the letter B, when viewed on a Google map of Barcelona. We didn't have time to find all of those “B” caches, but I was inspired to make a similar series in Creston. Thanks to GuanacosTeam in Barcelona for the idea.

There are 8 caches in the “C of Creston”. They are not necessarily similar in size, shape or container type – all they have in common is that they make a “C” when viewed on the map.

Note: While it might seem like a nice idea to just start the series at #1 and go to #8, the roads will not actually make it that easy for you to do this. To assist you in planning your day, take a look at the road map before you begin, and note the location of the only bridge across the Kootenay River, on Highway 3.

The terrain is rated at 2.5 due to a short but steep climb. There may be thorns involved. If you go just a little bit south of the coordinates, there's a wider spot in the road that will help you pull off to park. There are just a few houses south of the cache location, so traffic will be very light. While you're at the cache location, looking across the valley to the east will reveal the cutline which marks the 49th parallel.

You are looking for a 300 ml lock & lock. Bring your own writing stick.
