This cache was placed by the 1st Tantramar Scouts as part of an activity day hosted by the Atlantic Wildlife Institute in Cookville, NB.
This cache is placed with permission on the grounds of the Atlantic Wildlife Institute (www.atlanticwildlife.ca). As part of a day of activities including survival skills, learning to safely and quickly start fires, etc. our Troop also learned about geocaching and hid our first cache.
This cache is also the host cache of our TB - Baloo the black bear, named after one of the animals rescued by AWI and who still currently resides there.
The cache is an ammo can hanging about 4 feet high. It's a very short bushwhack, but there are lots of pokey trees, so watch your eyes please.
Please visit this cache during daylight hours only and if you want, pop in to say hello to the staff and learn more about the awesome programs at the AWI!
