Back in the 1700's there was a great war between Pirates and the
European power countries in the Caribbean. One of the greatest
pirates was Captain Edward Teach aka 'Blackbeard', he had stolen 5
chests of gold coins from one of the King for France's ships.
The King of France made it Captain Pierre Laviolette's mission
to retrieve the chests of gold and stop Blackbeard. After many
years of fighting and many men lost Captain Laviolette retrieved
all 5 chests back, but Blackbeard escaped. As a reward the King of
France gave Captain Laviolette one chest of gold to keep for
himself.
Captain Laviolette hid the treasure to keep it safe but also
knew he must also have someone watch over it so in case he dies it
was not lost forever. Captain Laviolette chose one of his closest
and most trusted friends to be what is known as "The Keeper". Once
Captain Laviolette died the current Keeper then found a new Keeper
is case he died. The title of "The Keeper" has been passed down for
centeries and the treasure has been kept safe. It's been told that
modern priates are aware that this treasure still exists and
continue to find "The Keeper".
The Keeper before me has passed on and it's now time for you to
be "The Keeper". Go my friend, check on the treasure and make sure
it is safe.
Go to the posted coordinates, there search for box that will
contain the keys that you will need to get into the treasure. Then
continue on to the Map Location (Waypoint), these coordinates will
also be posted in the key container.
Once you get to the final location you must use the key to open
the treasure. This lock is one of a kind and built by a French
Locksmith so you will need to figure out the sequence needed to
open it.
