Geocache Description:

4th in a series dedicated to insects.

The common Field Cricket of Alberta can be heard during those warm spring and summer nights along nice trails like this one found in Edgemont Ravines. Ah, yes...the sounds of summer.

You may find it interesting that the classic "cricket" sounds is produced when the male rubs their wing covers together. Crickets are hard to spot though... they tend to drop to the ground and disappear when we approach. Can you find this one?

To find this cache, you must navigate up a hill through some bushes and shrubbery. It you take the foot trails, you shouldn't have to bushwack, although you may have to duck if you are a tall guy like me.

Have fun!!!
