Scout's Honor Traditional Cache

This geocache is in honor of our beloved black lab Scout, 2000-2007. He accompanied us on most of our geocaches and just about everywhere else. Scout was one of those dogs that didn’t realize he was a dog, he just thought he was one of us. Gentle and mild mannered, he was loved by everyone that met him and he knew no strangers. Sadly, his life was cut short by medical issues. We miss him and think about him every day. Not sure what he would think about the yellow lab and basset hound that now reside with us, but I think he would probably be happy to know there will never be another Scout. Miss you goober!
All the current prizes are dog related and we would like to keep it that way if possible. Feel free to take a tennis ball or chew toy for your pooch and don’t worry if you don’t have a prize to trade.

Cache is a short walk off of dirt road. No need for four wheel drive as long as you stay on the road.
Beware of mosquitoes if you go late in the day. Bring bug spray.
