Geocache Description:

The cache is located within a few yards off the Tuscobia trail.

THE TUSCOBIA TRAIL
The Tuscobia trail runs from Rice Lake to Park Falls, a distance of 74 miles. This makes it the longest trail of this type in the state. It served as a railroad line for 70 years when it was known as the “Omaha line”. The railroad industry declined in the 1940’s and by 1967 the old wooden bridges were dismantled and the recreational use of the trail began in 1968. Activities on the trail include Snowmobiling, hiking, ATV riding, horseback riding, and biking. More information on the trail can be obtained at www.tuscobiatrail.com The caches will introduce you to a section of the trail from south west of Lemmington to just West of Ojibwa where the Chippewa River crosses the trail. I tried to place them in areas that have some scenic or historic interest. PLEASE DON’T PARK ON OR ACROSS ANY PART OF THE TUSCOBIA TRAIL.

A short hike up the Tuscobia trail will take you to the cache and a view of a golf course to the south and a pasture of glacial erratics (1000's of glacier carried rocks in a pasture) to the North.
