Geocache Description:


The Eye of Africa is a private lifestyle golf estate developed by Medallist Developments in conjunction with Pixley World Investments. The development is conveniently located 17km south of Johannesburg’s CBD and comprises 667ha of land.

When completed, Eye of Africa will be home to approximately 1200 freehold stands (Res. 1), 900 sectional title units (Res. 3) and may include separate areas currently zoned for other commercial developments.

Homes will display a distinct character that complements the site. The architectural vision will incorporate the use of simple raw materials gleaned from the surrounding Highveld earth fused with European and African designs – all combining into a unique ‘Afropean’ style.

Expertly designed by World Golf Hall of Fame member, Greg Norman, the golf course at Eye of Africa is set to become Johannesburg’s newest pinnacle of golf.

The 18-hole championship golf course will incorporate many of the Norman trademark design elements such as natural topography, elevated tees, extensive use of bunkering and the blending of natural and surrounding environments.

The course will weave up and down rolling terrain encompassing an overall distance of 7100 metres.

The cache is located a few hundred metres before the entrance to the development.
