Vistas do Espaço - Tavira
O Observatório
Astronómico de Tavira, é um centro científico com as
finalidades de observação, estudo e pesquisa do
Cosmos.
Está localizada na estrada nacional 270, o acesso e feito em terra
batida, 1 Km. O observatório está situado na parte mais alta
da área envolvente, numa colina contemplando o Vale da Asseca a uma
altitude de 140 metros acima do nível do mar e proporciona uma
completa vista do céu. O espaço foi construído numa Quinta
Algarvia, tendo sido construída em 1885.
O observatório possui telescópios com dimensão de 5 até 20
polegadas, e mais ainda, binóculos, câmaras e outros equipamentos
de observação.
Este local é indicado para escolas e/ou grupos, bem como para a
familia.

Poderão entrar nos jardins deste observatório, no entanto se
quiserem visitar os vários pavilhões, deverão contactar o centro
para uma visita guiada, sendo esta
paga.

: A razão porque fizemos
esta cache, é porque se trata de um local diferente no interior do
Concelho de Tavira, que estimula ao geocacher, o conhecimento, a
descoberta, a interpretação do Espaço e da
Terra.

Astronomical observatory of Tavira, is a scientific centre
with the finalities of observation, study and inquiry of the
Cosmos.
