Geocache Description:

A puzzle with a great hike at the end.

The cache is not located at the listed coordinates. The listed coordinates will take you to the parking place we used to reach this cache.

This is our first cache and dedicated to those who have served and continue to serve honorably, allowing us the freedoms that we enjoy. In order to find the coordinates you will have to go to three places in Albuquerque to find some information and then do a little math.

Find the place somewhere in Albuquerque where 2 replica mountain howitzers are located. Just a few steps west of them, a plaque tells you what year soldiers were buried here.
A= the last digit of the year.

USS Bullhead Memorial: B = The day of the dedication minus 7

At the New Mexico Veterans Memorial:
C= The number of “War” or “Mission” Pillars
D= At The Word from Home, how many notes to home from a service member minus 11
E= The number of circles in “The Fallen Friend” plus 1
F= How many stones are involved in “The Preparation” divided by 8
