This is a two-stage multi at Beaver Creek Reservoir, which supplies water to Martinsville City, and is open for fishing, picnicking, and non-gasoline powered boating. At one point the city considered closing the reservoir to the public, but after much objection, left it open for everyone to visit, from sunrise to sunset daily. Bring your pole and a snack, but please check sunset times before hunting this cache; sunset means sunset, or a little before.
GPS bounce was a problem when placing the caches, but we were able to get within 4 ft. at the first stage and 7 ft. at the second stage. When we rated the difficulty/terrain, it was based on the second stage, since you will climb, no matter your approach.
The first stage is a 35mm film container, and the second stage is an ammo can, with lots of goodies for the kids. There is a log in both containers, with coordinates for Stage 2 on the log at Stage 1.
