Geocache Description:

Camo'd prescription bottle - Attached to each log is some interesting information about the year for which the cache is named. Perhaps you too can remember something exciting from that year and add it to your log…. And if you were too young (or not yet born) add some history that you do know about that year to your logs.

1988: I become President of the Mira Mesa Rec council - and we file suit against City of San Diego to gain the 7 parks, 2 Fire Houses and larger library - it takes years but we get them. I got to dedicate Maddox Park, it was the first.... the last was Hourglass Park near Miramar College.... another long story you can ask me about sometime. Oh, we end our Infant Emergency Shelter Foster Care service, it became too hard to let some of them go - especially the last one.... but we had 63 infants come stay with us, we loved each and everyone of them, and years later received a letter from the last one (she was 16 by then).

It’s good for the heart, body, mind, and soul to get out in the clean air and walk. These series of caches are intended for just that – getting you off the couch and out walking for caches. They are easy finds, so beginners will have fun, so will kids, and for us experienced cachers, another excuse to walk for the numbers.

Congrats to Duncan! for being FTF
