Earth Day 2009 in Glenmeal State Forest

This is a cache located off of one of the many well-marked X-Country ski trails in Glenmeal State forest.
Parking is on the south side of the road near the sign for Glenmeal State Forest Preserve, about 1 mile south on CR 24 of the Pierrepont town Barn. Start by following the yellow marked ski trail on the left side.
When you get near the cache, you will have to do some bush wacking, and will probably need to take off your skiis if you are skiing. The cache should be visible in the winter, unless there is a TON of snow. My walking distance to the cache was about .8 miles. You can come back the way you came, or continue around the loop back - it is the same distance.
There are a number of well maintained ski trails in the 600+ acre tract, and it is a beautiful walk. Very suitable for children.
A NYS scratch of lottery ticket is there for the first to find, as well as a variety of trade items. So far, we are 0 for 4 on lottery tickets for the FTF, so this might be the lucky one!
