Geocache Description:

This is a nano planted along the walking trail in the heart of downtown Pelion. This is originally a "railroad" town.

Our first “Original Hometown” Cache.

Between the two of us, we have lived in Pelion almost all of our lives! We do still own some property there, and still frequent the area, and are always amazed at this little town and it’s growth through the years. The old railroad tracks have been turned into “rails to trails”, and we were quite impressed with the walking trail that we were told was .8 miles long from one end to the other. We actually ran into some friends right before we “planted” the cache, and ended up talking to them for about 45 minutes before we got the deed done. We hope ya’ll enjoy this cache; we would like to see more caches pop up in this area.
