This is an old Water Wheel. Next to the Water Wheel is an Old Grinding Stone. On the opposite side of the road is The Water Raceway, which was used to pump the billows at the Iron Works. At the end of the Raceway is the remains of the Sawdust Burner.
There is a small parking area in front of the Water Wheel.
If you have time and would enjoy a short walk, you could park at the Visitors Information Centre. Here there is a small playground for the children. The Cenotaph is also located in this park. A beautiful paved walkway along the river bank leads you to the Water Wheel.
Please be careful when replacing the cache. If it falls inside the Water Wheel, there is no way of retrieving it. If it should accidentally fall in, please notify me.
