---^---:): I just met someone I have known for a very long time.
It started about eighteen years ago in an AOL chat room. I was telling dirty jokes when a young lady sent me a message.
" I like your quote" and from there we became friends.
Over the next few years we became close .We talked almost every day.. Then one day she was gone. We had lost touch with one another. During this time we both went through a lot of changes and difficult times.
Then one day several years later she was back. She had found my daughter on Facebook and from there she messaged me.
I was ecstatic. Her husband had passed away and I was in the processes of getting divorced.
During the next few years talked on Facebook and began talking on the phone. We became very close. By now our phone calls were almost a daily thing and it was great . I looked forward to her calls . Then last winter we decided to meet. I had scheduled two weeks off in September and we were talking about where I was going. Then she said." You could come to Chicago" . I told her that was a great idea and then ran to the computer to book a flight. For the next six months we talked about it every night. We talked about how we felt and we both agreed that even if it didn't work we would still be friends.
Then came the day of my trip. I felt every emotion you could think of. Scared, nervous happy and a few others. But it all went away the very second I saw her. She was arguing with a parking cop who was telling her to move her car. I was wearing a Seahawks jersey so she could spot me in the crowed. As soon as she saw me she stepped around the cop and smiled.
That smile was the best thing I had ever seen. It chased all the nervous feelings away . Then we kissed and held each other for a very long time.
As we drove around Chicago we talked and had a great time.It felt like we had been together forever. The next four days were fantastic and on the second day I booked a return trip for New Years eve.
I dont remember a time I have felt this good about love and my life. My friend Mike Turner likes to say. "Good things do happen" and now I think he is right.
We are going to spend a few weekends together and then we will try a three week ' Test live together " to see how we do.
After that I will probably move to Chicago.
My friends I tell you this. Love is a funny thing . You never know where you will find it. For me it was in an AOL chat room many years ago.
