A nice walk through the bush to the sleeping rocks.
These rocks are natural overhangs that have been used by the the local indiginous population for over 1900 years. With fresh water near by and plenty of food in the sheltered waters this was the perfect place for a camp.
This was a place were the community came to feast, make fishing tackle, baskets and weapons.
The remnants of shells and other artifacts can be seen covering the floor of the shelters and the smoke marks from the fires can be seen on the rocks above.
Take some time to think of how tough it must have been when you couldn't go to Woolies to shop and had to hunt and gather to survive.
Find this cache and then follow the marked walking tracks for a walk along the peninsular in the quest of other caches near by.
