Geocache Description:

Located in a quiet country lane in the Weald Moors of Shropshire.

The Wall Lane has been designated a "Quiet Lane" This initiative by the Campaign to Protect Rural England is to encourage the use of low traffic country lanes by cyclists, horse riders and walkers without getting run over by a car. Well, a less likely chance of it.

Although this may be perceived to be a cache and dash, this was primarily aimed at cyclists or perhaps people that are not as actively mobile.

The Weald Moors has an interesting history and ecology.

The big lumps and bumps seen from the cache location are the remains of an Iron Age fort known as "Wall Fort". A nearby sign details permissive paths around the area if you wish to explore further on foot. Bird watchers may also be interested in some of our feathered friends around here.

The cache is accessible from the lane. You do not need to enter any farmland. Please check the lane for traffic when replacing the cache.

Have fun!!
