You’re looking for a small to medium size Lock-N-Lock container. Please bring a pen to sign the log.
Once upon a time this area was filled with homes and people living the American dream. They wanted to own a home and raise their children in a safe and quiet neighborhood.
The people that lived here did all the normal things that most people do. Their children played in their yards, they went to school, they grew up, got married, and raised children of their own. Soon there were generations of children playing in their yards and riding their bikes up and down the streets. There were barbeques going in the back yards and new birth’s and weddings were being celebrated here.
Then one day the city decided to extend the runways of the airport that was located a couple miles away. This expansion caused the airplanes to be so close to the homes when they were landing, that you could see the faces of the passengers and the pilots. The planes were so close that the noise was unbearable. The solution by the city was to buy all the homes and tear them down.
So in the name of progress, the people sold their homes to the city, packed up their belongings and moved away. And they took with them the memories of their life here. Those that have returned from time to time look around and see what once was and wonder what could have been.
Today all that is left are the streets, the empty yards, the driveway aprons, the old fire hydrants and a few trees. And there is something else that remains; the ghosts of times past.
After you find the cache take a moment to face into the wind that always blows here. Stand very, very still. Clear your mind of outside distractions. Listen to the wind that blows across the empty yards as it blows past your ears. As you stand quietly listening to the wind you might just be able to hear the sounds of children playing in the yards. The sounds of people grilling burgers and celebrating a high school graduation, or a wedding. The sounds of the dreams and hopes of families living the American dream.
