Geocache Description:

AKA: Blood Alley Scene 2

In July 2003, I bought my first GPS which was a Magellen Sport Track Pro. Shortly after buying the GPSr, I must have run across Geocaching somewhere because I did a search of nearby caches, copied them into Microsoft Word and printed them out. The Mrs. and I searched for the cache "I think I smell chicken." This was the closest cache to our house at the time, but in retrospect I have discovered that the cache was not there when we looked since the last finder was in January of 2003 and archival was in September 2003.

I located the printed out information for this cache awhile back and decided to revisit the site of our first DNF. This DNF was our last attempt at geocaching until July of 2006.

The best approach to this cache is to enter at the Foster Farms employee entrance. This appears to be a public road and the only way to approach Kaweah Contrsuction. At the cache site you will see a current blood alley to the North and the historic Blood Alley to the Southwest. Observe the road that goes under the railroad tracks and try to imagine four lanes of Highway 99 going under that today!
