Geocache Description:

This cache is best accessed from the Crystal Ice Cave Road via North Pleasant Valley Road. A four wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended. Please don't head out to this area if it is raining or wet as, at best, you'll tear up the road and, at worst, you'll get stuck. If you're smart, you will only use four wheel drive to get out if it starts raining. I'd recommend waiting for the snow to melt before trying for this cache. The cache is a large ammo container. The old container was a decon. The pack rats tried to eat it. I put survival items in the new cache container for trading.

The view here is great with Pillar Butte to the south. I originally wanted to place this on Pillar, but then remembered it was part of The Craters of the Moon National Monument.

The terrain rating is for the road if it gets wet. The cache is near the road and the hike is short and easy.
