This cache is to Salute the Truck Drivers who put endless hours on the highways delivering products so that we can enjoy the everyday things in our lives.
Truck drivers provide an essential service to industrialized societies by transporting finished goods and raw materials over land, typically to and from manufacturing plants, retail and distribution centers.
The drivers spend most of there time away from family and friends so that we can enjoy the everyday luxuries and necessities we require. Without them how would we survive?
This cache is placed near one of the busiest truck stops in the area. The truckers depend on these oasis' for fuel, meals, showers, laundry, internet access, and for a chance to stretch their legs and cramped muscles from hours of continuous driving.
For dealing with long hours behind the wheel, traffic jams, reckless drivers, adverse weather conditions, and all the other hazards associated with the job, "WE SALUTE YOU!!!"
The cache should be pretty easy to find however the area going to the cache has been thinned out and there are bushes and branches laying on the ground which could make walking to the cache a little difficult. The thinned area is just where the power lines are and the cache is just inside the tree line from this. Nothing extreme to a serious cacher. The access is closer from the highway but for safety reasons you should park at the Big Stop.Just follow the ATV trail and head to the cache when you get closer to it. No need to walk through the swampy area.
This is also a very unique container that should have some neat comments posted about it. Room for some small trades. Please ensure that the container gets closed properly to avoid any water from getting into it. Please feel free to post pictures of your caching crew with the cache container.
The cache was placed as close as I could get it to the Big Stop. There are other caches nearby that affected where I could place this one. Walking along the bank and then veering into the woods is the best way to go at this one.
