Snoopinaround: Cache archived due to Salem Lake being drained for the dam replacement. The Park Manager asked me to remove the caches prior to the drain-down so that people would not walk out onto the lake bed looking for these and damage the natural habitat. Thanks to all who paddled and found the series!!

Geocache Description:

CACHE IS NOT ACCESSIBLE FROM SHORE OR FROM THE TRESTLE ITSELF!!!

Cache is NOT on the train trestle bridge structure and can NOT be reached from the bridge. This cache is ONLY reached by kayak, canoe or boat on Salem Lake.

Be sure to check the Salem Lake Park's website for current operating times during daylight hours only (based on season).

You must register, and pay your usage fee, with the Marina Office before launching your craft. The ONLY launching point for Salem Lake is at the Marina. You must be off the water 1/2 hour before closing.

There is NO SWIMMING in Salem Lake and the cache can NOT be reached from shore. I placed it for the enjoyment of boating cachers.

You are looking for a nano. Coords averaged 200 times with accuaracy of +/- 14.3 feet. You will not need to get out of your boat or even stand up. NO NEED TO CLIMB ON THINGS.
