Geocache Description:

A great spot for a picnic on a sunny winters day, views over Newlands across to the distant mountains, on your left the lush forest of the western slope of Devils Peak with the mountain towering behind you

I set this cache in laughing honour of Jon, not a man who is that keen on steep climbs, who left his specs on the log when we stopped for coffee a couple of years ago. He only discovered this when he got back to the parking area. After two climbs in one day, he's never contacted me again for anything except dinner on his visits to Cape Town! Left two TBs, World Cup 2010 #5, and Mantid, plus a spirit-level keyring, Chinese coin, and a few lapel pins.
