Tree-mendeous Traditional Cache

A cache in a tree with a fantastic view.
This cache is placed in a tree alongside a dirt road that connects Cannon Rocks and Alexandria all along the new border of the Addo Elephant Park. The cache has a spectacular view of the sea and also the dunes that lies between the farmer community called Kaba and the coastal area called "Die Kranse."
"Die Kranse" now forms part of the extended Addo Elephant Park, but many years ago, when 4x4 vehicles were still allowed on beaches, you could drive along the beach from Cannon Rocks to "Die Kranse" which was a very popular fishing spot! You could also park near one of the farms on the Kaba side and walk over the dunes! This we only tried once! If you want to do this you must carefully calculate the weight of your sinkers or hope you do not catch to big a fish!! The walk back over the dunes under an unforgiving sun is challenging to say the least!
If you are travelling from Cannon Rocks, you will have to pass through a boom and then follow the dirt road that curves though various dairy farms. At the time of placing the cache, the area had a bit of rain and the contrast between the blue ocean and the dark green of the the Kukuju grassland was spectacular!
The cache is is placed at the base of the tree.
