Geocache Description:

Deutsch:

Grube Christiane

Pit Christiane

The mine Christiane is located in the Adorf district on the northern outskirts. In the ground of the pit you can find the high-quality red iron stone. It was build on the flanks of an undersea volcano in the emerging Central devon before 380 million years ago. The red iron stone is overlaid from a cover by limestones, that is called " Adorfer lime".

The high class red iron stone was dismantling first made by surface mining, later after constructing a mine shaft also from below from ground.

Particularly interesting is that the limestones are rich in fossils

Before you log the Earth cache , you must first answer the following questions:

1. Which ore has been established for over 700 years here dismantled?
2. How many tonnes were promoted in the month?

Also a photo what you or your GPS device with the pit in the background shows.

Logs without photo, no received permission as well as encrypted answers or references to the answers that will be deleted
