Geocache Description:

The cache is located at the Barrington Recreational Complex on Sherose Island, overlooking beautiful Barrington Bay. There is a lovely new walking trail, under construction at this time, but it is open to the public. You can drive to the site, but I suggest you park in the arena parking lot and walk to the boat launch. It's only a short hike of about five hundred meters. Bring your camera and binoculars as there may be deer along the trail and seals resting on the rocks in the bay.

This cache was established to celebrate the visit to our area of a student,Catalina, from Bogota, Columbia. Cata was here in the Barrington area for three months and was introduced to geo-caching by her host parents Key Link and Pier Girl. Cata loved to explore the woods and really enjoyed geo-caching! The cache is a loc-and-loc plastic container wrapped in camo tape. It contains a first to find certificate with a coin from Columbia donated by Catalina. There are also a number of other items for exchange. There is a note book and pencil to record your visit.
