Buck Lewis Engineering, Inc. was formed in 1971 to perform civil engineering and surveying services in Tucson and the surrounding area. In 1983, the decision was made to open an office in Sierra Vista. Since that time the office in Tucson has been gradually phased out and the main engineering activity has been focused in Sierra Vista and Cochise County.
Over the past 25 years, the firm has completed planning, civil, engineering, and surveying services for over 200 residential and commercial projects ranging in size from individual building sites to large mobile home parks and recreational vehicle facilities to a planned community with 900 lots and golf course. All projects included complete infrastructure considerations and design. Commercial projects have included hotels, restaurants, church sites, schools and assisted living facilities. Hydrology and hydraulic studies and traffic impact analysis are routinely performed depending upon project scale and complexity. All commercial projects have required extensive interaction with local, county, state, and federal agencies.
