This cache is situated on the Anglesey coastal path and may be accessed by following the path east from the church at Llanbadrig or west from Porth Wen.
The Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path is a 125 mile route that circumnavigates the island, passing through the largest designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Wales.
This path involves some quite strenuous walking..! But it is well worth the effort.
The stony cove of Porth Llanlleiana with its ruined buildings is located between Porth Wen and Cemaes Bay. These ruins are the remains of the former china clay industry. Llanlleiana porcelain works is situated at the most northerly point in Wales.
It produced porcelain from deposits of china clay found on Dinas Gynfor nearby. The works consists of a main building and a remote chimney; this was to direct the noxious fumes away. The works closed in 1920 after being damaged by fire.
There are also the remains of a much eroded small harbour.
The headland itself is the site of an ancient Celtic hill-fort, Dinas Gynfor.
Offshore is the barren rocky island of Middle Mouse
The cache is a small plastic container in a camouflaged bag. Inside you should find log book and usual swappable items - there is a pencil and sharpener included – please leave these in the cache for future use.
At the time of placing the cache the GPS accuracy was within 20ft
