Going south on Highway 89 from Jackson, WY once you pass mile post 125 watch for the turn off between the guardrails. This will take you to the Lunch Counter parking lot.
Here is the one place where you can actually hit the “wave” in Wyoming. People have been surfing this wave since the seventies. It is fun to watch. So hang ten Cowboy Joe.
This is also a great place to watch the river rafts and kayakers floating down the river. There will be number of people here during the summer months. So you will have to be stealthy during that time of year. Bring a pencil or pen. Watch the little ones closely if you decide to go down by the river. Spring and fall will be a better. Winter the cache will not be available.
