Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates, but it is within a few miles. The cache box is a decon container hidden in a typical manner, but not typical for me. Please be sure to close it fully.

Kablooey has complained I sometimes use clues in my puzzles, so I thought I would try to create one I consider to be using clues. The following is entirely true and may give you some insight about me. During my childhood unlike everyone I knew, my family didn't have a mailbox at our house. We'd make nearly daily trips to the local post office. P.O. Box 835 Saratoga, was my address for years. This was a real problem especially with schools, libraries, DMV, and other places that insisted on knowing where I lived. The reason this was a problem is that I would have to give them the location of the house I lived in, but I would also give them my box number; the address where letters were to be sent. At an age younger than my kids I had to take responsibility to always remind people, of my box number, because I wouldn't receive letters sent anywhere else. In those days the information was all in paper files that rarely had the forethought to allow for two addresses. Even if the paperwork had a location for two addresses they frequently were not used correctly, or were ignored. Over the years many people have had trouble using my box number, and sent letters into that void and never found me. I learned early on that I needed to focus and remind people where to send me letters or I would be the one, missing out on things. These experiences taught me about rampant bureaucratic incompetence at an early age. This is no longer my address location. That Post Office in Saratoga was closed, and was converted into a Sheriff substation. They built a new Post Office on top of what had been the baseball fields of my Jr. High. For a time as an adult in another city I even had a P.O. Box ending in the same number. I no longer have any of these box numbers and don't reside in either of these cities, but to me it will always be my box address. I forgot to put a pencil in the cache which, I will hopefully fix eventually. I’d preferred to have made this a regular cache, but I think if it were a traditional, or larger that it would be muggled, but maybe I'm just being conservative. 5/1/09 I added a pencil to this box, and increased the difficulties a little.
