Geocache Description:

To the leaves falling to the earth below,
To the waves lapping against the shore ahead,
To the chirping of the birds perched on the tree tops above,
To the rustling of leaves as the squirrels scurry across.
Peace, Peace, Peace and Peace be unto you.

This cache is intended to highlight my son's fantastic "A Oak A" walking stick and put it to good use. You will have to grab the "A Oak A" from him in order to access the nano which it houses and within which are your instructions (cords) to make the find. We want you to take good care of his A+ TB and expect it to be exchanged between cachers or returned to us in-between uses. You can also send me a request for pick-up in the form of a PM and I'll do my best to accommodate.

The Lime Kiln Trail at High Cliff State Park runs along the lake shore between the bluffs and the shoreline. In spring and during heavy rains, torrents of water pass over and under the trail on the way to Lake Winnebago. During spring thaw and run-off, you're likely to spend more time walking on water than you are walking on dry land, but the good news is that the trail is solid and overflow shallow, which makes the trek interesting to say the least.

Below are two Trailhead reference points to get you started. One on top of the Bluffs near the Indian Mounds and Camp sites. The other just south of the Lime Kiln Ruins. Clues in the nano begin from the BOT reference point, but you can run the clue and cache backwards if you prefer to start on TOP. There are three benches on this trail, and you can begin counting at the first bench in either direction. The middle bench also plays a role and is a good place to take a break. Enjoy this cache and marvel at what nature has made.

The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to the High Cliff State Park Geocache Liaison, Jay Vosters, of the Wisconsin DNR.
