Geocache Description:

Take a hike or a bike ride on the beautiful trail along the Virgin River which links Bloomington Park with Sun River. Trail access at the park is near the pickleball courts. Cache is located about 1.5 miles south of the Park or 1/2 mile north of Sun River. Access to the middle of the trail is available from the Las Colinas subdivision just south of the Calvary Chapel church. Enter the trail where it crosses La Costa Circle.

This part of the trail is built over the recently installed and long awaited sewer line from Bloomington Ranches. When the sewer was first brought to the area in 1994, contractors were prohibited from running the pipe down this, its shortest and most logical route to the treatment plant, because of environmental concerns. Instead they were forced to build a pumping station at the south end of Sugar Leo Road and pump the sewage uphill all the way back to Man o' War to go across the river there. More than 10 years later, with Sun River subdivision in place, permission was finally granted to run the gravity line down its current route, much to the delight of Bloomington Ranches residents, who were tired of getting their basements flooded with sewage whenever the pumps failed. Hence the very appropriate name of the cache: Sewerline Celebration!
