Geocache Description:

Smallish box, good solid cover. Wide views on a fine day, none in fog! It was the view from up here that inspired Hill-man to set out on his travels around the Island. There is no 'correct' order in which to follow the series.

From the carpark head uphill to Tom-the-Dipper's cottage site in the grassy/gorse patch on the left side of the road on the corner and have a look at the memorial stones there. From there carry on round the corner (care - traffic!) and take the path leading onto the hill on your left. At a waypoint N 54.06.348 W 004.43.805 turn onto the fairly clear path heading generally North. After approx. 300 yards turn West away from the wall and make your way up the ridge to the small/medium cairn at the local summit. Recover breath, put down dog/small child who didn't like the gorse, admire view? The cache is nearby, but well hidden in a fairly bare area. No need for heavy lifting. It contains the usual small items. A fine circular walk from the carpark will take in "A True Manninagh", "Ballakilpheric Boyo", "George's Cache" and "Hill-man's Revenge". Allow about two hours for the full tour.
