Geocache Description:

Formerly a 35mm film pot placed close to road very near church Now a small nano sized cpntainer.Cache contains log only so please bring your own pen or pencil to date and initial only.

Stoke Trister is now a very quiet dormatory village just off the A303 near Wincanton. The current church, dedicated to St.Andrew was built in 1841 to replace the original medieval one which was demolished as it fell into disrepair. The church is part of the Parish of Stoke Trister and Bayford. The church has five bells, the oldest dating from 1751.The views from near the church including towards Alfred's Tower are very good. Please be careful extracting and re hiding thanks. If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
