Geocache Description:

This cache is a nano hidden close to the entrance of the Rowley mile course. Please take an implement to sign the logbook.

The Rowley Mile race course is named after King Charles II "Old Rowley" who was the name of a horse that he rode here at Newmarket. He founded the Newmarket race meetings following his restoration to the throne in 1660. The Rowley mile hosts racing of the highest calibre during the Spring and Autumn. In Summer the racing switches to Newmarket's other race venue, The July Course. Racing at the Rowley Mile includes two of the five classic races in early May: the Sagitta 1000 Guineas and the Sagitta 2000 Guineas. The big Autumn highlights are The Cambridgeshire meeting which includes the Cesarewitch and the superlative Champions Day.

Personally, i'm always impressed by the vast expanse of open grass. For a great view could i suggest taking a stroll along Devil's Dyke situated at the other end of the heath. This affords excellent views of both racecourses as well as taking you close to another cache. Twist and Shout (GCKN24)

Parking is available closeby and would qualify as a cache and dash if you so wished. It may be more advisible to look at the following link for parking options.
