A simple multicache along Maidstone's riverside, taking in 2 thoroughfares that commemorate significant dates. Note: occasionally the riverside paths are flooded after prolonged periods of rain, the cache will not be accessible when this happens.
All we can offer you at the end of this multi is a keysafe container, so please bring your own pen. The lid has had some surgery to make it easier to remove but this means that the cache needs to be replaced so that gravity helps the lid stay on and not slide off.
The area is usually not too busy, unless you visit on the river
festival weekend - in 2009 it is on the 24th and 25th July. Although the cache location is away from the main festival area we advise you not to bother looking for the cache that weekend!
