Not a park 'n' grab!
Every time I pass by this rest stop, I think about how my Great Aunt Gracie used to stop here on her trips from Lubbock back to her home in Wichita Falls. Gracie was a retired schoolteacher, and a very kindhearted old lady. She would make long drives to Lubbock to see my grandfather, and other family in the area, in the days before convenience stores and air conditioning. Every time, she would stop at this little rest stop and eat an apple or an orange, and enjoy the scenery.
Cache is an ammo can, nestled in the rocks. The hike is pretty steep, and brushy, so be sure and wear good climbing shoes. Thanks to Jaylous1 for helping to get the cache close to the top.
